Do I Want an Indoor or Outdoor Wedding?

There are many things to decide on when planning a wedding, one of those may be where your wedding venue will be or if it should be indoors or outdoors?

When making such a decision, you should think first on the type of wedding instead of the location. There are many different locations, but it all comes down to those two types. Do you want to enjoy some air-conditioning or do you rather be outside with nature?

We’ve experienced different kinds of weddings, and even ones that mixed  between the two types. In this post we will let you know what you should take into consideration when making this decision there’s always pros and cons.

INDOOR WEDDINGS

If you were to choose an indoor wedding location, you don’t have to worry about the weather that day. Whether it be windy, sunny or rainy, or even if there will be mosquitoes flying around and disrupting the peace. Those unpredictable elements won’t be as much of a bother from the inside.

Others might say that an outdoor wedding allows for a large capacity of guests, is that true or a myth? Outdoor does sound bigger and more spacious, but does that equal to large capacity? An outdoor wedding in a backyard or in a garden can hold perhaps 100 guests. Meanwhile, you can book a grand ballroom, and hold up to 200 or more guests. It all has to do with the exact location or venue. Go big or go home! Yet small and intimate works too.

OUTDOOR WEDDING

First thing that many may think is, the view is better. Is that true? Not necessarily. Both types of weddings have a distinctive beauty, one that is hosted inside a private mansion may have beautiful decorations and a gorgeous, long hallway with architecture dating back to 1800s. While there’s an outdoor wedding, being hosted in a massive forest, with beautiful trees, greenery and flowers. This all brings it down to the couples personality.

Let’s just list some extra things to consider if you are still between doing a full indoor or outdoor wedding

001 The lighting

if you like natural light, the outdoor option would be a better one, even if some indoor venues have natural light. Just remember to take into consideration that not every outdoor wedding venue has the same quality of natural light.

002 decor

Being outdoor can mean that you have a back drop that’s natural and gorgeous no matter what. Now remember the natural elements, if you have table clothes, plates, flowers, there could be wind that comes into play or worse rain.

003 food

Think about the kind of food you want to feed your guest, and if the food is safe to leave outside all day. You might want to think about reconsidering a buttercream cake so it doesn’t become a puddle.

If you are the kind of person who loves the outdoors and traveling, it’s easy to see yourself with an outdoor wedding.

Now that doesn’t mean an indoor wedding can’t work for you. You can always incorporate both!
